Small groups are essential in accomplishing the mission of Crosspoint by helping its members connect with others to be cared for, respond to the Word of God, and multiply to grow in numbers and strength. This can be summed up in three words: Care, Respond, & Multiply.
Small groups care for one another by being intentional with conversation and time together. It is the hope for each small group member that small group would be a place where they are able to come and know they will have spiritual, emotional, and physical support. The way this is done is by all members regularly meeting and equally serving, pouring into, and praying for one another.
Small groups aim is to train others to lead, serve, and reach the community. This is done by intentionally studying and responding to God’s word appropriately. As we respond to God’s word we desire to train individuals in leading biblical discussion, looking for opportunities in or outside of discussion to grow others into deeper spiritual maturity, finding opportunities to serve the community, and inviting non-believers into the group.
Multiplying small groups, the act of taking one group and making it two, is foundational to how small groups grow and function at Crosspoint. We look, hope, and are excited for multiplication to happen. Multiplication is vital to the caring, responding, and growth of all members in each group and Crosspoint as a whole.
